Keith Flint of the Prodigy dead at 49

Sad news to report today as Keith Flint the electric lead singer of seminal dance music band The Prodigy was reportedly found dead today. According to band member Liam Howlett Flint took his own life. Howlett wrote on the group’s Instagram page:

“The news is true, I can’t believe I’m saying this but our brother Keith took his own life over the weekend. I’m shell shocked, f****n angry , confused and heart broken…r.i.p brother Liam”

The group had just announced a US tour later this year, their first official US tour in 10 years. In addition the group had released a new album in November, 2019 “No Tourists.”

One funny anecdote to remember the dynamic singer by…. he purchased a pub in his hometown and the pub had a fireplace. So of course when it was cold out and he started a fire in the fireplace, someone always made a joke of course referencing their hit song Firestarter… and he charged them 1 Pound each time.
