Groove Cruise and Whet Travel Announce ‘Groove Island’ at Catalina Island!

Catalina Island will be taken over by dance music and become Groove Island on the weekend of September 27-30, 2019. Whet Travel as well as Groove Cruise have bought out nearly all of the island’s hotels, AirBNBs and the entire campground to accommodate the expected attendance. Yacht, ferry and helicopter packages will be available when it goes on sale March 20 at noon (PST).

Groove Island will not only be a music experience with over 40 dance artists from multiple genres across several island venues, but attendees will also be able to take advantage of the island’s sports, culture and entertainment. There will be day and night costume-themed parties like the “Roaring ’20s” in the Grand Casino Ballroom. Groove Islanders will be able to refuel with food available 24 hours a day, practice yoga, meditation and attend wellness workshops at the Whet Oasis chillout experience. Groove Islanders can also attend a silent disco, culinary class, ghost tour and stand-up comedy. For those interested in outdoor activities, there will be hikes, zip lining, jet skiing, a ropes course, a golf and fishing tournament. Checkout the Groove Island 2019 Announcement video!
