Nina Kraviz Issues Statement on Ukraine War, No Longer to Play 3 Upcoming Festivals


Russian DJ Nina Kraviz recently published a statement regarding her position on the Russian – Ukraine war after being dropped by record distributor as well as no longer playing three upcoming festivals.

Two festivals, The Crave in the Hague and PollerWiesen in Dortmund were the ones who made the decision for Kraviz not to play while it appears it was her choice to opt out of Movement Detroit this weekend.

Kraviz posted the following note on social media:

Close Distribution her record label noted they severed ties due to her “pro-Putin” views. 

Kraviz noted in her social media post that she is “deeply moved by what’s happening in the world.” She added “I am against all forms of violence. I am praying for peace. It pains me to see innocent people die.”

In addition she noted that “In recent months, I have faced hatred and lies against me and I’m not sure if that’s because my statement didn’t appear on Instagram. It saddens me, but it hasn’t made me bitter.”
