The whole adventure kicked off six years back when Erez Eisen got his hands on some early VR gear and had that lightbulb moment: “Why don’t we make our own game?” Of course, with their jam-packed schedule of globe-trotting performances and constant album creation, finding time for game development seemed nearly impossible.
But sometimes the stars align just right.
Out of nowhere, a message landed in Infected’s inbox from Jussi, a brilliant game developer at Rayworks, asking if they’d be up for collaborating. Talk about perfect timing!
What started as playful digital tinkering blossomed into an epic, built-from-the-ground-up adventure that’s now become an absolutely mind-blowing VR journey.
“Infected Mushroom: Pinball” honors traditional pinball gameplay while catapulting players into reality-warping alternate realms, featuring gorgeous dark aesthetics and an exclusively crafted soundtrack straight from the duo’s creative minds. You can dive in through PC VR, regular desktop play, or even connect it to actual VPIN physical pinball setups.
Here’s where things get really wild: when players nail their missions, they get sucked into trippy mini-adventures, like morphing into a fly and zipping through rings in enormous worlds filled with creatures pulled straight from the band’s legendary album artwork.
