Immersive experience curators Do LaB returned to the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival this past weekend for their 2026 stage, and Weekend One delivered exactly what the desert crowd had been hoping for: surprise after surprise, a genre-spanning lineup, and a handful of moments that will be talked about long after the dust settles.

Friday night’s biggest shock came courtesy of John Summit, the superstar house producer who rolled up unannounced for a massive surprise set ahead of the release of his sophomore album, CTRL ESCAPE. The set made history as the first ever livestreamed performance from the Do LaB stage, drawing one of the largest crowds the tent has seen in recent memory.

Dublin-born vocalist and dance music breakout Jazzy brought her signature infectious energy to the Do LaB for her first ever Coachella appearance, delivering the kind of performance that cements a rising star’s reputation on a big stage. Berlin-based selector MCR-T kept the momentum going with a club-driven set combining fierce vocalism with high-impact cuts, while L.A.-born selector FIFI (Sophia Ziskin) brought her vivid, left-field energy to the stage — with pop star Becky G spotted in the crowd showing support throughout the set. Additional Day 1 programming came from jigitz, Effin, bullet tooth, 1tbsp, and SORAYA.

Saturday was a showcase of versatility and surprise. Multi-platinum R&B disruptor Tinashe headlined the day with a DJ set that blended originals, reimaginations of her own tracks, and driving house hits, capping it off with a special guest appearance from Disco Lines to perform their chart-topping track “No Broke Boys.”

The stage wasted no time delivering its first official surprise of the day: The xx’s Romy took the decks for a euphoric, emotionally charged DJ set that carried the crowd from sunset into the night. A rare B2B collaboration followed as the second surprise — KETTAMA linked up with Japanese underground icon ¥ØUUK€¥UK1MATUK€ ¥UK1MAT U for a set of fast, unpredictable selections delivered with pinpoint precision, the kind of pairing that sets the Do LaB apart from every other stage at the festival.

UK house duo Prospa B2B Josh Baker closed out the night as the final surprise set, bringing their club-driven sounds to the desert for a charged late-night finish. A standout moment came earlier in the evening when Indonesian-Australian rising star BABY J took the stage for her U.S. debut — a milestone set reflecting just how far her reputation has traveled from Perth to the global club circuit. Previously announced Day 2 programming also featured Anfisa Letyago, andhim, Starjunk 95, Roddy Lima, Baalti, and Lumia.

Sunday saved one of the weekend’s most emotionally resonant moments for last. Anyma B2B Marlon Hoffstadt served as the monumental closing surprise set of Weekend One — a moment of triumph and redemption for Anyma, whose Friday night headlining set on the main stage had been canceled due to severe weather. The set was elevated even further when BLACKPINK star LISA joined Anyma on stage, fresh off their recent collaboration “Bad Angel,” sending the crowd into a frenzy.

Whethan brought his signature blend of trap and future bass sounds to the tent, bringing out special guests including Oliver Tree and Levity, with rapper Ice Spice also spotted in the crowd. Rapper Isaiah Rashad made a grand return to the stage with the first surprise Do LaB performance of the day — nearly five years since his last album and fresh off announcing his next project, It’s Been Awful. Poolside’s Daytime Disco soundtracked the afternoon with feel-good rhythms and disco-laced grooves perfectly suited to the desert afternoon. Additional Day 3 programming included OMNOM, Omar+, Deer Jade, Brunello, Jackie Hollander, Cincity, and Soul Purpose.

Weekend One was a masterclass in what makes Do LaB one of the most essential destinations at Coachella — a space where world-class talent shares a stage with tomorrow’s headliners, and where no two sets are ever quite the same. Weekend Two runs April 17–19.

The Do LaB’s flagship festival, Lightning in a Bottle, follows on Memorial Day Weekend, May 20–24 at Buena Vista Lake in Southern California, with a lineup featuring Empire of the Sun, Mau P, Sara Landry, Zeds Dead, Chase & Status, Tinashe, Overmono, Maceo Plex, Nia Archives, Avalon Emerson, and many more.
