Portola Music Festival isn’t staying contained to Pier 80 this year. Goldenvoice has confirmed the return of Portola Week, a citywide run of more than 15 shows spreading across San Francisco from Thursday, September 24 through Sunday, September 27, timed to the festival’s fifth anniversary at the waterfront venue.
The satellite programming pulls in a wide swath of artists connected to the main festival bill, including Soulwax, Overmono (DJ set), Fcukers (DJ set), Fatboy Slim, 2manydjs (DJ set), SG Lewis, Chloé Caillet, horsegiirL, VTSS, Channel Tres, JYOTY, Groove Armada, Ben UFO, Parcels, Max Styler, Six Sex, Two Shell, Sam Alfred, and more still to be announced.
The centerpiece of the week is Portola’s 5th Birthday DESPACIO Extravaganza, landing at Pier 80 itself on Friday, September 25 — a night ahead of the main festival. Built by James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem, David and Stephen Dewaele of 2manydjs and Soulwax, and sound engineer John Klett, DESPACIO is a custom, high-powered sound system designed around a singular, deeply immersive listening experience. This year’s session runs six hours, from 5 to 11 PM, and access is limited strictly to fans who’ve held a Portola pass every year since the festival’s 2022 debut — verified through their Portola AXS FanAccount and requiring a 2026 pass purchased by August 18. Those eligible five-year passholders can buy up to four tickets each, with sales opening Wednesday, August 19 at 12 PM PT.
Beyond that exclusive night, the rest of Portola Week fans out across the city’s clubs and theaters. Thursday kicks things off with Soulwax at The Regency Ballroom and a Black Rave Culture showcase at Club Six. Friday, alongside the DESPACIO event, brings Channel Tres, JYOTY, and Gelli Haha to The Regency Ballroom, Six Sex at Great American Music Hall, 2manydjs at 1015, and Groove Armada closing out the night at The Great Northern. Saturday shifts into Fcukers, Chloé Caillet, and a Public Works takeover, plus Max Styler at Audio Nightclub and Parcels at The Regency Ballroom. Sunday wraps the week with Overmono and Ben UFO back at Public Works, horsegiirL, VTSS, and Two Shell at The Midway, SG Lewis at The Great Northern, and Fatboy Slim closing things out at 888 Garage.
Tickets to the general run of Portola Week shows go on sale Friday, August 21 at 12 PM PT, following a passholder presale the day before on Thursday, August 20 at 12 PM PT.
The main festival itself takes place Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27 at Pier 80, headlined by Robyn, DOG BLOOD (Skrillex & Boys Noize), Swedish House Mafia, Zara Larsson, Tiësto (in the Warehouse), Four Tet, Tove Lo, and Soulwax.
