SXM Festival has revealed the first wave of artists for its 10th edition, returning to the Caribbean island of St. Martin March 17-21, 2027. Bob Sinclar, MEDUZA, Sasha, Claptone, Dombresky (Disco Dom), Franky Rizardo, and Brunello lead the Phase One announcement, joined by Guy Gerber, Patrick Topping, Dennis Cruz, Chelina Manuhutu, Deer Jade, Matt Sassari, Max Styler, and more.
What’s kept SXM distinct from most destination festivals since its 2016 launch is the absence of any single site. Across five days, the event spreads across beaches, villas, clubs, hilltops, and unexpected corners of both the French and Dutch sides of the island — St. Martin doesn’t just host the festival, it functions as part of the show itself. That structure carries into how a typical day unfolds: a morning on the beach might lead into lunch in a small village, a sunset set, and an unplanned detour that swallows the rest of the night, with the same faces showing back up on boats, at restaurants, and eventually back on the dancefloor.
For the milestone 10th run, organizers are leaning back into the formula that built the festival’s reputation in the first place, prioritizing a curated mix of established names, respected selectors, and emerging talent over simply stacking the biggest possible bill. Past editions have brought out Carl Cox, Jamie Jones, BLOND:ISH, Bonobo, and Richie Hawtin, with the festival known for introducing audiences to rising names at pivotal moments in their careers.
“From the beginning, I never wanted SXM to be the biggest festival,” founder Julian Prince said. “I wanted people to go home with stories they would still be telling years later.”
Getting to a 10th edition hasn’t been a straight line. Hurricane Irma devastated St. Martin in 2017, just a year after the festival’s debut, and the SXM community rallied around the island’s recovery in the aftermath. A pandemic-forced pause followed a few years later. Through both, the relationship between the festival and the island held, with organizers pointing to a broader commitment to local hotels, restaurants, venues, and businesses across both sides of St. Martin as central to how SXM operates, not just an afterthought. Recent editions have drawn attendees from more than 58 countries, building an international community that reconvenes, if briefly, each spring.
