Missy Elliot, BIA, and Doechii all appear on David Guetta and Afrojack’s new track, ‘Trampoline’.
The release features multi-Grammy Award winning rapper, songwriter, singer, and producer Missy Elliott, who was honoured with her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in November 2021.
Also involved is J Balvin and Russ collaborator BIA, whose resume includes work alongside Nicki Minaj and six platinum albums. This is also true of rising Tampa, Florida artist Doechii, whose 2020 single, ‘Oh The Places You’ll Go,’ took inspiration from children’s book author Dr. Seuss.
Guetta noted:
“I started working on this record years ago with Missy Elliott and Afrojack, then Mike Caren from APG came along with a great new idea and wanted to revisit it. We gave it to BIA and Doechii and got this great finished result. I love it, it’s a mix of hip hop and electronic music, which is rare for me. I’ve worked on a similar track before, ‘Hey Mama’ with Nicki Minaj and Bebe Rexha, and that was huge. I don’t go to this territory often, but when I do, I go hard!”
Afrojack commented:
David’s my brother as you know; we’ve had many songs together and we just got nominated for a GRAMMY for ‘Hero’, so we’ll be there to celebrate. Also very excited, of course, to work together with BIA, Doechii and Missy Elliott. I’ve been a Missy Elliott fan for a very long time because she’s very cool, makes amazing beats, and awesome music that I’ve listened to since I was a kid.”
