DJ mixes no longer to be taken down on Soundcloud

Per an interview with German music blog Groove.de, Soundcloud founder and technical manager Eric Wahlforss stated that due to new licensing agreements with Germany’s GEMA as part of their new paid streaming service that uploaders will no longer be subject to having their mixes taken down due to copyright issues. It is unclear if this will apply to US users and uploaders but if so it will be great news as there have been many public issues with takedowns over the past few years.
