Sold Out Avicii Tribute Concert Features David Guetta, Aloe Blacc, Nicky Romero + More

For the first time, the songs off Avicii’s posthumous album, Tim, will be brought to life by a stellar lineup of his friends and collaborators alongside a 30-piece band.

“Tim had plans for his music to be performed together with a large live band. Now we are realizing his dream and giving the audience and listeners a chance to experience Tim’s songs in a truly unique way,” says Avicii’s father Klas Bergling

With opening acts from David Guetta, Nicky Romero, Kygo, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, and Laidback Luke, as well as live performances from Aloe Blacc, Adam Lambert, Rita Ora, and more, the night will be an emotional one for a lucky 50,000 attendees that managed to grab spots. Tickets sold out just 30 minutes after their release three months in advance of the concert, which will take place on Dec. 5 in Avicii’s hometown of Stockholm, Sweden at Friends Arena.

“It’s overwhelming, difficult to take in,” Bergling said in a statement regarding the sell out. “I’m so grateful for all the people who want to share this special evening with us.”

All proceeds from the show will benefit the Tim Bergling Foundation, which strives to spread awareness and help causes related to mental health and other initiatives.
