Bass DJ Bassnectar (Lorin Ashton) and 3 plaintiffs accusing the dj and producer of underage sexual have settled the lawsuits brought by the three women. The lawsuits accuse the dj of ‘grooming’ the individuals while minors. Terms of the settlement were not released.
Per a statement just release by both parties:
This legal process has been long and difficult, with all parties already having endured a tremendous amount of strain on their personal and professional lives. As such, they have amicably decided to resolve this matter and move on in peace. Plaintiffs wish Lorin Ashton and the Bassnectar Community a bright future and Lorin Ashton wishes the Plaintiffs a bright future.
In late 2024 Bassnectar’s attorneys attempted to have the cases dismissed. The judge overseeing the case did not dismiss the case in its entirety though some aspects were dismissed this month.Â
Per court documents, the case was settled ‘with prejudice’ aka the lawsuits cannot be refiled.
