Desert Hearts Black releases new EP feat. Darin Epsilon & Galestian

Desert Hearts is going into their 10th year as a group and is expanding on their sublabel Desert Hearts Black. Curated by co-founder Marbs, Desert Hearts Black’s goals for 2022 include offering a wider range of techno and house music for its followers.

On February 11th Desert Hearts Black released the Reset EP. The EP features an original track by Darin Epsilon & Galestian, plus remixes from Fur Coat and Marbs & Evan Casey.

Galestian noted:

Darin and I decided to collaborate on a track while we were both in Berlin during the big lockdowns of 2020-2021. The track emerged from the pressures surrounding this new reality that we had to slowly get accustomed to. We started bouncing a few ideas back and forth, and this one stuck the best.

Barcelona based, Venezuelan DJ and producer Fur Coat has the first remix on the EP which is an 80s inspired remix of the original. DHB’s Marbs & Evan Casey join together to produce the final track of the EP, exciting techno that includes eye-focused EP artwork (designed by Marbs).

Earlier in January for DHB’s first release of the year Marbs kicked things off with his new EP, Minds on the Run. The EP begins with a 7-minute club track, “Needed Time.” The track alludes to a refocus for DHB as they plan to expand their sounds from melodic house and techno into a more diverse space.

Also, Desert Hearts will be celebrating its 10th anniversary this spring and will be moving its festival into a new space in Lake Perris. The festival will take place on April 28th-May 2nd 2022.
