More than 100 international artists and DJs will be performing at the world’s largest outdoor techno festival, Awakenings 2014. The festival will be a weekender for the first time and will take place on Saturday, June 28th as well as Sunday, June 29th at Spaarnwoude Houtrak from noon until 11:00pm.
International techno artists such as Carl Cox, Jeff Mills, Adam Beyer, Joseph Capriati, Marco Carola, Joris Voorn and Sven Väth will be returning to the festival. The line-up for the open air areas of the festival on Sunday have been coordinated by Awakenings along with superstar DJs Carl Cox of Carl Cox & Friends and Adam Beyer of Drumcode. Along with the staple DJs, new techno artists have been included in the lineup like Clouds, Breach, Finnebassen, Blawan, Midland and Pangaea & Pariah.
 The Awakenings Festival has been selling out in recent years, which is one of the reasons why the festival has been extended from one day to two. The additional day also gives Awakenings the opportunity to book more artists than in the past and put main artists in the line-up for both days, which allows the festival audience to catch their set if they miss one of the days.
