Ticketmaster/Live Nation and AEG Planning to Offer Refunds for Postponed Concerts

After much silence on the issue, Ticketmaster/Live Nation and AEG plan to offer refunds to ticket buyers starting May 1st for concerts which have officially been postponed.  Ticket buyers will have 30 days to request a refund. otherwise their ticket will be good for the rescheduled date and no refund will be available after 30 days have elapsed.

Live National also stated:

“For cancelled shows, refunds will be automatically processed within 30 days, unless fans voluntarily opt into other programs,. ” a statement from the company reads. “Live Nation venues will offer fans an option to receive a 150% credit for the value of their tickets to be used for a future Live Nation show. Fans will also be able to donate the proceeds of their refund to a charity to give concert tickets to health care workers, with Live Nation matching ticket donations.”

AEG is offering fans refunds under the same plan as Live Nation.

Also, StubHub has been hit with a class action lawsuit due to changing their Fan Guarantee from offering refunds to now giving 120% of the ticket price as a credit.
