Woodstock 50 Promoters Finally Throw in the Towel, Cancel Event

The end we all knew was coming, today the Woodstock 50 promoters announced that the event will not be happening at all.

Other than one band, none of the talent booked to play the event has publicly stated the would play the new proposed venue in Maryland.

The organizer released a statement:

“We are saddened that a series of unforeseen setbacks has made it impossible to put on the festival we imagined with the great lineup we had booked and the social engagement we were anticipating. We looked for a way to do some good rather than just cancel.”

The organizers of the event have asked the talent to pay 10% of their earnings, which were pre-paid and not required to be returned, to charity.
